Lost in a maze with no escape
Searching for a purpose a reason a shape
In the echoes of despair where hope's a distant glow
There's not flicker deep within a whisper calling life
In a world of gray where colors fade
They long for meaning in this masquerade.
Through tear-stained eyes they gaze above
Seeking solace searching for more
The night unending a relentless endoses sea
And somewhere in the darkness a sunrise would not be foreseen
For every storm that rages the calm never follows near
A chance for transformation my soul cannot seek
With each breath they take a battle fought
Against the shadows against the fraught
Though the road is tough the journey so long
In the asymmetry of life they won't find their soul
